Finally, some hair relief!

Today, I finally got some serious hair relief. Trust me, it was needed. I have a severe allergy to the anti-fugal ingredient used in about 99% of all shampoo. The only other shampoo I have been able to find at the drugstore that did not contain this chemical was baby shampoo. My hair was so fragile and brittle. I went to Trader Joes this past week and picked up their Tea Tree Tingle shampoo and conditioner. I love it! It is extremely pure and has few chemical additives. The conditioner is rich and creamy. My hair is soft, shiny, silky, and I am not allergic to it! It smells fresh and minty and has a cool tingling sensation on my scalp. At $3.99 for each bottle, how can I argue?

Upcoming Changes

To my dear, albeit minuscule readership,
In light of my recent and severe new skin sensitivity, The Devil's Beauty Blog is going to take on a rapid change. A violent shift in a new direction. I have found the internet bizarrely and upsettingly empty on the topic of compiling lists of cosmetics that contain severe allergens. Additionally I am disturbed by the difficulty of find a complete list of ingredients for many cosmetics and make-ups.
Therefore, I will be focusing the nature of this blog now on hypo-allergenic products for those of us with serious allergies. Additionally I will be providing complete ingredient lists for more obscure products. Like foundation. Because I cannot find a list of ingredients for 3 of my foundations. That is absurd.
Hang on kids.
Not what you saw coming? Good.

Gyaru Follow up

So this is a follow-up to my earlier post on Gyaru style and make-up. This is my version of gyaru. Sorry for the terrible lighting, my dorm and my webcam are not friends.

Important things to note-

- Black eyeliner, Big Lashes, and lots of light shadow all the way around the eyes. That means on the lid and under the lash line.

- Rest of the face is neutral beige, maybe even a little darker than my normal make up.

- Pink or neutral lip. Neutral is more traditional, but I wanted to look a little more barbie-ish.

- Finally, big curly hair. My hair is not long enough really, but I'm trying!

Latisse and other eyelash growth product.

OK, this stuff freaks me out. So you brush this liquid on your eyelid, and you magically grow hair. What?! And, just as a side note, it is gonna make your eyes darker and make you look like you are constantly wearing eyeliner. The last bit isn't that bad, but literally make the iris darker? Does this not scare anyone?
Additionally, if we can make eyelashes grow in greater quantity, why can't we apply the same technology to your grandfather's head and give him a nice lush combover? Hey, I'm just asking.
Now to make matters even weird, L'Oreal has come out with a mascara-esque treatment that also claims to make you grow more lashes that are fuller and don't fall out as much. Weird! You were the stuff twice a day and in a month you have more lashes. I'm sorry, but that just freaks me out!

Circle Lens

So last night, given my recent obsession with anime and gyaru style, I ordered circle lens! Circle lens are contact lenses that make the pupil and iris of your eye appear bigger, so you like like an anime character. Gyaru is a alternative style in japan. Hime Gyaru, which is what I "practice" is frequently confused with Lolita's big sister. Hime Gyaru is a wealthy, smart, and beautiful young lady. The make up involved perfect skin, usually tanned, black eyeliner and white or nude eyeshadow. The lip is pale or neutral. Hair is BIG and curly. The clothes are pink and frilly and super accessorized. Basically, you are a pretty pretty princess! Can't wait for the lenses!.
